Studying & Working in the UK after Brexit

As we approach October 31, the proposed date when the UK will leave the EU, in order to reassure any EU or Swiss Citizens who are planning to study and work in the UK, or are currently there,  LSI would like to highlight the following UK Government’s advice.

The UK Government states: “There will be no change to the right to work of EU, EEA and Swiss citizens and their family members living in the UK until 31 December 2020 if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.

For a transitional period after Brexit on 31 October 2019 until 31 December 2020, law abiding EU citizens and their family members will be able to move to the UK and live, study, work and access benefits and services as they do now.

For the time being, border crossing arrangements will remain unchanged. EU citizens will enter the UK as they do now, using their passport or national identity card. They will be able to use eGates if they are travelling on a biometric passport, and they will not face routine intentions testing.”
