LONDON | On 7th September 2013 the famous BBC Proms in the Park is happening in Hyde Park – it’s Britain’s largest outdoor classical music event, and is being headlined by Brian Ferry. BRIGHTON | The Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival is happening for 10 days from 5th – 15th September 2013. It’s a wonderful showcase of food, drink and hospitality that can be found in Brighton and surrounding areas. CAMBRIDGE | The Chariots of Fire relay race through Cambridge is one of the area’s largest charity events. It follows in the footsteps of the famous movie, with a scenic route through the streets and colleges of Cambridgeshire. Teams of six will run a 1.7 mile course in relay format, raising money for the disability charity Papworth Trust! | |
SAN DIEGO | The 15th Annual Trolley Dances festival will be happening at the end of September – this is a one-of-a-kind ride to see spectacle! You ride the trolley to see site-specific dance performances. Your ticket includes an all-day trolley pass and cost just $15 for students. A great way to explore downtown San Diego, whilst seeing some impressive dance performances!

SF/BERKELEY | This September the city of San Francisco will host the America’s Cup yachting finals in San Francisco Bay. Experience exciting catamaran racing up close, and watch the impressive (and fast) yachting races!

BOSTON | The Berklee Bean Town Jazz Festival is happening in Boston’s South End at the end of September, with free and ticketed events by local musicians and jazz superstars. The theme for this year is “The Next Generation”.

VANCOUVER | The Vancouver International Fringe Festival is happening from the 5th – 15th September and is British Columbia’s largest theatre festival. More than 100 different theatre artists and companies join for 11 days to share their creativity onstage in more than 700 performances. TORONTO | The Toronto International Film Festival is on for 10 days in various locations around Toronto. The streets of Toronto are filled with international stars and fans hoping to meet their favourite stars. BRISBANE | The Brisbane Festival is on for almost all of September, and is one of Australia’s premier festivals and cultural events. There are free outdoor events and paid events, with international and Australian artists performing dance, theatre, opera, classical music, circus, sideshow and contemporary music.

AUCKLAND | In early September, Auckland is host to the New Zealand Fashion Week, with the opening weekend, NZ Fashion Weekend, being open to the public. If you are passionate about fashion it’s an excellent opportunity to experience top NZ designers’ work up close and personal!

PARIS | The Festival Ile-de-France is on for all of September, celebrating the end of summer with concerts spread out all over Paris and the surrounding region.
