{"id":3682,"date":"2019-03-24T01:42:11","date_gmt":"2019-03-24T00:42:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.lsi.edu\/?p=3682"},"modified":"2019-05-14T15:07:59","modified_gmt":"2019-05-14T14:07:59","slug":"young-achievers-exam-course-toefl-junior-tests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lsi.edu\/index.php\/2019\/03\/young-achievers-exam-course-toefl-junior-tests\/","title":{"rendered":"Young Achievers Exam Course &#038; TOEFL Junior\u00ae Tests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an exciting recent development, our school in Toronto has been approved as a testing centre for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ets.org\/toefl_junior\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ETS <em>TOEFL Junior<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/em><\/a>\u00a0 English tests. From March onwards we\u2019ll be offering the test to youngsters from the age of 11 upwards. Students will be tested on their listening and reading comprehension. The test is an excellent tool for gauging a student\u2019s current English language level, helping to highlight language strengths and weaknesses and areas where students need to improve to reach their full potential. As with the adult TOEFL iBT tests, <em>TOEFL<\/em> <em>Junior<\/em><em><sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/em> test scores are matched to the standard international CEFR language levels recognised by academic institutions across the world. Due to its usefulness as a diagnostic tool, <em>TOEFL<\/em> <em>Junior<\/em><em><sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0 is used by international high school teachers across the globe.<\/p>\n<p>During the summer we\u2019ll also be able to offer preparation for the tests as part of our Young Achievers Exam Programme. This programme is offered as an option on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lsi.edu\/en\/english-courses-for-juniors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">summer and winter Junior programmes<\/a> in the UK and Toronto. Students who have chosen a junior course which includes the social activities, can swap two activity sessions per week for exam focused workshops including the<em> TOEFL<\/em> <em>Junior<\/em><em><sup>\u00ae<\/sup> <\/em> test .
