Risa from Japan won the costume contest with her spooky nun costume. And what a fabulous prize &#8211;\u00a0a gift card and two movie tickets! Students also got the chance\u00a0to partake in other traditional Halloween activities at LSI Berkeley. There was\u00a0pumpkin carving and a mummy wrapping contest! Another favourite game\u00a0for students is bobbing for donuts. This is where these tasty treats are\u00a0suspended on strings and students try to eat them. Not easy to do when your hands are\u00a0tied behind\u00a0your back!<\/p>\n<p>For many students it was their first time celebrating the holiday and they really enjoyed getting to chance\u00a0to\u00a0experience this aspect of American culture. After all, the USA is\u00a0often considered to be the home of Halloween!
